There are password cracking programs but they mostly cost money.

But as you are logged in as Administrator you can make a new account that has Administrator access. Then you can log off your current account and login to your new account. Then you can change the password on the old.

You can then remove the new account you made if you want to.

Make sure you remember the new password !!!!!!!!!!

Maybe write it down somewhere secret.
Click ';Start';.

Click ';Run';. (Or type into the Search.)

Type in:

control userpasswords2

Press ENTER.

User Accounts will open.

On the ';Users'; tab:

Click ';Add';.

Give the account a name, and whatever it needs.

Click ';Next';.

Give it a password.

(123abc will work fine.)

Click ';Next';.

Make it an Administrator.

(Either by clicking on the Administrator Radio Button, or by choosing ';Other';, and then ';Administrator'; in the drop-down list.)

Click ';Finish';.

Log off.

Log in with the new Administrator Account.

Click ';Start';.

Click ';Run';. (Or type into the Search.)

Type in:

control userpasswords2

Press ENTER.

User Accounts will open.

On the ';Users'; tab:

Click on your Old Account.

Click on ';Reset Password';.

Enter a New Password.

Confirm the New Password.

Click on ';OK';.

Click on ';OK';.

Log off.

Log on with your Old Account, using the New Password.

Optional:

Click ';Start';.

Click ';Run';. (Or type into the Search.)

Type in:

control userpasswords2

Press ENTER.

User Accounts will open.

On the ';Users'; tab:

Click on the ';Dummy Admin User';.

Click on ';Remove';.

Click on ';Yes';.

Click on ';OK';.
You can't figure out a windows password. The only thing you can do is resetting the password.

only ophcrack will help you!
Hi there,

Try this...

Boot off the DVD, then after it finishes loading, on the bottom left corner you will select ';REPAIR YOUR COMPUTER';. From here the ';System Recovery Options'; box will load, and you need to click on ';COMMAND PROMPT';.

When the black ';COMMAND PROMPT'; box opens up, you need to type ';mmc.exe'; without the quotes.

Click on the File menu, select Add / Remove Snap-in option, locate and select the Local Users and Groups on the left panel, and click Add button to add it to the right panel.

Now, the Choose Target Machine dialog box pop up. Keep the default setting by clicking the Finish button 鈥?that means using the Local Users and Groups snap-in to manage this local computer, and not another computer in network.

Click OK button and return to MMC windows. Under the Root Console in left panel, double-click Local Users and Group that was added earlier. Click on User folder, locate and right-click the target Vista logon account that found in the right panel.

Select the Set Password from the right-click menu to set a new password / reset old password.

Remember, Vista does NOT have an administrator account enabled by default, so if you didn't add it, it isn't there.

Thanks,

Ava
Hacking is my specialty. Hacking as an for good reasons... I promise. ANYWAYS! You said her administrative account, not the Administrator account. Confused? When you first setup your computer, you are prompted to setup an account, you might name it your name or something else. When that account is set up, it is automatically given administrative privileges. However, there is another account, the Administrator account that many people are totally unaware of. Which is good - sometimes... So basically, if she has fast user switching enabled - uses the welcome screen, all she has to do is press Ctrl + Alt + Delete simultaneously on the keyboard TWICE. After, a window will pop up, that is the window that appears when fast user switching is disabled. There are two blank fields, one field to enter the username. There you will type the account name Administrator. Now, if she did not change anything for the Administrator account, it should still be set at the default password which is nothing, so just leave it blank and click OK to log in. Once logged in you can go into the Control Panel and change her password.

IF you are unable to access the Administrator account, then one of the last things she can do is crack the password. Search for and download Any Windows Password Reset 7 from http://www.windowspasswordreset.net . Burn it to a CD or usb then boot to that CD on her computer. From there on it should be ';kinda'; self explainable. If not there are a bunch of tutorials on google search on how use Any Windows Password Reset 7.

If you see stuff about the command prompt and net user ... * DON'T EVEN BOTHER. That method requires administrative privileges. Trust me, I just made a tutorial on using the ';net user'; command, I should now how it works.

Then your very last option - although I hate to say it - is to reformat and reinstall the operating system (OS). Unfortunately, doing so will erase all her documents. I hope she does frequent back ups.
Are you using Windows 7 or XP??

3 step by step details to follow:

Step 1.Download Windows Password Unlocker from Official site and decompress it on that PC.there is a .ISO file. Burn the .ISO file to a CD.

Step 2.Get out the newly created CD and insert it to the locked computer.

Step 3.Re-boot the locked computer and then follow the process ofinstructions. Just after a few steps, the old password will be removed.

It supports all windows version, recover windows 7 password, vista/xp/2003/2000/NT etc.
